The invention of internet access

Historical event in the past 60 years

One invention that makes a big change to the tochnological world is the invention of internet access. Internet is computer connection which is made by US Departement of Defends on 1969, on ARPA project called ARPANET(Advance Research Project Agency Network). They demonstraiting how can we communicating each other in infinite distance with hardware and software that based UNIX. They make a connection that makes them to started build new protocol called TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol).

Innitially they do the research fot millitary importance, US Departement of Defends make computer connection system to connect computers in vital area to overcome problems if nuclear attack happen, so they can communicating easier, avoid centralized information, and if war occur they can destroy it easily. At first it only connect 4 sites, Stanford Research Institute, University of California, Santa Barbara, University of Utah, where they make entegrated connection in 1969, then ARPANET globally introduced in 1972. After that there are many people, university that want to participating on the research. That make some difficulties to ARPANET to manage things. That make them to devide ARPANET become "MILNET" and "ARPANET", milnet is for millitary importance and arpanet is for non-millitary importance, such as universities. The combination of MILNET and ARPANET is DARPA Internet, or we usually says it as Internet.

After that, access to the ARPANET was expanded in 1981 when the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded the Computer Science Network (CSNET). In 1982, the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) was introduced as the standard networking protocol on the ARPANET. In the early 1980s the NSF funded the establishment for national supercomputing centers at several universities, and provided interconnectivity in 1986 with the NSFNET project, which also created network access to the supercomputer sites in the United States from research and education organizations. Commercial Internet service providers (ISPs) began to emerge in the very late 1980s.
